Chanel Egoiste

Chanel Egoiste is a beautifully done Spicy Oriental from 1990. Possessing one of the better rosewood accords for designer scents, the Concentree version is even more pronounced in every aspect.

The opening is a citrus-fruit with coriander and the interplay between them is the magic. It gets even better when the spicy florals arrive with the trademark rosewood being the dominant note. The basenotes are classicly oriental with sandal thrown in the mix to bolster the rosewood even further.

I love how busy this fragrance seems to be, yet this is accomplished without a symphony of notes. Egoiste EDT has been reformulated and not as deep as it used to be, however the Concentree version is still a mesomorphic fragrance. Just terrific.
