Iss by Laura Tonatto

Iss by Tonatto (EDP) opens with a big lemon and tart orange blast with a subtle woody undertone. The neroli and petitgrain variety used by Tonatto most assuredly underpins this citric surge. It's eye opening.

The heart slowly but surely makes an entrance with a sweet floral pushed upwards by more citrus and barely a nod from musk. The top accord is still viable and the heartnotes  integrate themselves while the bergamot seems to slide in and push out the tartness.

The base accord is a transparent woody that is content being a utility player for the first string. I would have liked the woods to have been the heavies and taken this in another direction, but Iss is still very good and heavily citric with semi sweet florals and that wispy musk note. Iss would be a terrific addition for spring and summer.
