This ever-elusive 1979 Leather Chypre is straight up badass. Punjab says hello with a shot of spiced up citrus and berry. The leather is impatient and pushes its way to the front of the line. Swaggering mids of edgy, gritty woods escorting mild florals come center stage, but the soon-to-die florals are replaced with cinnamon and patchouli.
This is a strong introduction. Once the basenotes are permitted to come out and play, the scent has relaxed into a leather and amber concerto with glimpses of moss, musk and myrrh. Ahhh......the good old days really were good.
