This revisement of Eau de Rochas Homme is long in coming. I am trying to slowly update truncated reviews from when the blog first began. I got into the habit of throwing up some extremely brief reviews for the sake of posting material in order to get the blog up and running. Eau de Rochas Homme is a particular scent that deserves better than a few descriptive sentences.

First, permit me to say that I really enjoy this fragrance and it would work on either gender. This is a citric floral  that never evolves into machismo come base and drydown. It's clean, precise, substantial and rather uplifting.

Eau de Rochas Homme opens with the prerequisite citrus. It's a marriage of lemon and lime with a metallic edge. The top shimmers just enough to project and the accord really does possess a subtle, watery aspect. This is one of the better citric openings I've come across.

The opening lasts a good amount of time before stepping aside just enough for a muddled floral heart to transpire. In spite of the blurring here, it's completely appropriate and bridges the accords nicely. On my skin, the Freesia stands out most with accents from violet and coriander. It's a seamless transition with the throw lowering itself a notch or two. It's at this stage of the wearings that I realize how versatile this is. Business, Day or night and even casual would be appropriate to don Eau de Rochas Homme. If I smelled this on the feminine persuasion, I wouldn't bat an eyelash.

The base and drydown reveal a mossy musk quality. It's slightly earthy and merges with the still-going citrus and floral duo. The notes remain fairly spacious and exhibit the ability to breathe this far into the progressions. The extended drydown affords a lighthearted rendition of woodiness and vetiver. I never seem to experience amber and I'm no worse for the wear.

Eau de Rochas Homme is extremely pleasant and comfortable to have on the skin. Sillage is good and longevity ( for a citric dominant scent ) is exceptional. Big thumbs up from Aromi for this versatile creation. A sample wear is highly recommended if you need a scent like this in your wardrobe.
