Citrus, Lavender, Jasmine, Oriental Pear, Amber, Vanilla, Musk.
Somewhere in my slew of samples and mini's sits another feminine fragrance closely related to Baryshnikov pour Femme. I don't possess the ability to remember which smells like what since I experience too many scents and couldn't possibly remember them all by taking thought. I suppose if I kept a chart of some kind it would make that feasible, but then this hobby would take on the form of "work".........and where is the "fun" in that?
Allow me to say that Baryshnikov pour Femme smells rather good. I expected a less than stellar aroma when I procured it and was pleasantly surprised when it unraveled into a fruity floral with just a bit of skank.
There doesn't seem to be a lot of transitioning as the wearings ensue. Other than the presence settling down a few notches, Barshynikov pour Femme remains to the end as it was applied in the beginning. A lucid citrus accented with lavender and the suggestion of fruit open this fragrance. Almost immediately, a sensual quality emerges courtesy of a floral-musk combination. This aspect gets a bit headier and more rounded out as it heats up from body temperature. The oriental notes seem to act as supporting players during all stages as opposed to customarily taking the baton during the base and drydown. They lend subtle earth and woody-resin aspects to the overall composition. There's also a quiet, underlying sweetness that's tuned rather nicely.
I'm aware of other Baryshnikov fragrances, but not really acquainted with them. This particular one doesn't have many opinions that I could find, but for the price and totality, it's a win-win situation. As far as fruity floral compositions go, Baryshnikov pour Femme holds her own and adds a facet of sensuality that I like.
Sillage is good and stops short of being too much. Longevity is approximately 6 hours or better on my skin. Thumbs up from Aromi for Baryshnikov pour Femme and as always, a sample wear is highly recommended.
